With the acqui­si­tion of the shares, HASEC Elek­tronik expands its range of ser­vices to include elec­tron­ics devel­op­ment and test­ing ser­vices for the approval of elec­tronic devices. The com­ple­tion of the trans­ac­tion is an impor­tant mile­stone in the 25^th year of the company’s existence.
By expand­ing its range of ser­vices, the com­pany is respond­ing to the strong increase in demand for engi­neer­ing ser­vices from exist­ing and new cus­tomers. Through many years of suc­cess­ful coop­er­a­tion in the indus­tri­al­i­sa­tion and series pro­duc­tion of prod­ucts, many cus­tomers have expressed the wish to have their prod­ucts devel­oped by HASEC-Elek­tronik. The high speed of inno­va­tion requires strong devel­op­ment resources, which the cus­tomers do not want to map com­pletely them­selves, because they see their core com­pe­tence in the def­i­n­i­tion and mar­ket­ing of prod­ucts and there­fore look for part­ners who com­pletely take over the prod­uct devel­op­ment and man­u­fac­tur­ing process.
A joint prod­uct devel­op­ment process was cre­ated with the IMG devel­op­ment team, which ensures opti­mal coor­di­na­tion. The cus­tomer has a con­tact per­son for his project who coor­di­nates all steps. The devel­op­ment is car­ried out tak­ing into account the exist­ing parts mas­ter and the exist­ing design rules for the man­u­fac­tur­ing processes. This ensures favourable man­u­fac­tur­ing costs, rapid indus­tri­al­i­sa­tion and short-term scal­a­bil­ity of pro­duc­tion. An inter­est­ing fac­tor dur­ing devel­op­ment are the accred­ited test lab­o­ra­to­ries for EMC and envi­ron­men­tal test­ing avail­able at IMG. They enable the nec­es­sary tests for the approval of prod­ucts to be car­ried out in-house in a short time.
With this acqui­si­tion, HASEC-Elek­tronik GmbH has reached an impor­tant mile­stone on its way from con­tract man­u­fac­turer in the EMS ser­vice indus­try to ODM (Orig­i­nal Design Man­u­fac­turer). “Hav­ing invested mainly in high-tech assem­bly equip­ment so far in 2016, we are pleased that, with the finan­cial sup­port of bm|t (beteili­gungs­man­age­ment Thürin­gen GmbH), we have suc­ceeded in tak­ing this impor­tant step and can now already sup­port our cus­tomers in the devel­op­ment of their prod­ucts,” explained the two man­ag­ing part­ners Thomas P.
