On 13 and 14 June, founders and investors will meet for the 14^th time at the Investor Days Thuringia in Erfurt. Under the motto “Enter the next level”, the Foun­da­tion for Tech­nol­ogy, Inno­va­tion and Research Thuringia (STIFT) and beteili­gungs­man­age­ment thürin­gen gmbh (bm‑t) offer young, ambi­tious com­pa­nies the oppor­tu­nity to present their inno­v­a­tive busi­ness con­cepts to a broad audience.
Over 600 par­tic­i­pants are expected to attend the “Thuringian Ele­va­tor Pitch” and “Scal­ing up” events on two excit­ing days in the new mul­ti­func­tional arena in Erfurt. Among them are inno­v­a­tive founders, numer­ous investors, deci­sion-mak­ers, mul­ti­pli­ers and other rep­re­sen­ta­tives from busi­ness, sci­ence and pol­i­tics. “Rais­ing suf­fi­cient start-up cap­i­tal is often the bot­tle­neck in the start-up process,” said State Sec­re­tary for Eco­nomic Affairs Georg Maier. This applies all the more to Ger­many, which has an under­de­vel­oped ven­ture cap­i­tal mar­ket com­pared to the USA, for exam­ple. “In this sit­u­a­tion, the Investor Days cre­ate another direct, uncom­pli­cated oppor­tu­nity for young entre­pre­neurs to tap into new financ­ing options for their busi­ness idea. With their inter­na­tional ori­en­ta­tion, the Investor Days are excel­lently suited to raise the pro­file of Thuringia as a start-up and inno­va­tion loca­tion among investors and poten­tial founders beyond the region.”
The Investor Days Thuringia address start-ups and com­pa­nies at all stages of devel­op­ment. The tried and tested “Ele­va­tor Pitch” for­mat will be rounded off on the sec­ond day by “Scal­ing up”, an event exclu­sively for inno­v­a­tive tech­nol­ogy com­pa­nies in the expan­sion phase. The pre­sent­ing com­pa­nies will be intro­duced to a large cir­cle of investors, includ­ing not only early-stage investors but also other investor groups from the pri­vate equity, fam­ily office and cor­po­rate ven­ture sec­tors. The pres­ence of numer­ous busi­ness rep­re­sen­ta­tives pro­motes stronger net­work­ing and enables the start of cooperations.
When look­ing for financ­ing for a busi­ness idea or for fur­ther devel­op­ment stages of already estab­lished com­pa­nies, the aim on both days is to present one’s prod­uct or ser­vice and con­vince investors. The so-called “Ele­va­tor Pitch” is the ideal instru­ment for start-ups to win over investors and sup­port­ers. All vis­i­tors can expect top-class guests, an inter­ac­tive inno­va­tion arena and inspir­ing keynotes at the Investor Days Thuringia. In addi­tion, both days offer plenty of space for talks and busi­ness and culi­nary delights.
