On 19 and 20 June 2018, entrepreneurs and investors will meet for the 15th time at the Investor Days Thuringia at Messe Erfurt. Under the motto “Enter the next level”, the Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia (STIFT) and bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh offer young, ambitious companies the opportunity to present their innovative business concepts to a broad audience.
Two exciting event days offer the right platform to discover innovative business ideas, find investors and expand networks. The event brings together around 600 participants, including start-ups, growth companies, investors, decision-makers and industry experts. “The Investor Days in Thuringia are gaining more and more attention nationally and internationally. I am pleased about that because it makes Thuringia even more known as an innovative start-up location and strengthens it enormously. The focus is once again on the acquisition of venture capital from private investors and the networking of young companies. Innovative start-up projects succeed when young entrepreneurs meet potential investors — this is exactly what the Investor Days do. In this sense, I hope for new successful partnerships and thank the organisers warmly for their commitment,” said Thuringia’s Minister of Economic Affairs Wolfgang Tiefensee.
On the first day, the Thuringian Elevator Pitch gives 20 selected start-ups and founders the opportunity to present their projects on stage in a 3‑minute pitch and to gain the interest of the audience. With the Innovation Arena, all pitchers as well as other start-up projects will have the opportunity to present themselves interactively. An accompanying programme with inspiring inputs, music and cooperation dinner provides an open atmosphere to exchange ideas and hold individual discussions with representatives from business, science and politics.
The tried and tested pitch format will be rounded off on the second day by “Meet The Rising Stars”, giving investors an exclusive insight into technology-oriented growth companies, mainly from the bm‑t portfolio. Selected entrepreneurs looking for growth capital will have the opportunity to present their concepts to investors from the private equity, family office and corporate venture sectors and convince them of their business model.
The Investor Days Thuringia, an initiative of ThEX innovativ under the sponsorship of STIFT and bm|t, is thus one of the largest events of its kind in Germany and is gaining an increasingly international reputation. The presence of numerous business representatives on both days promotes stronger networking and opens up new opportunities for cooperation. ThEx innovativ is specifically geared towards innovative start-ups within the Thuringian Centre for Start-ups and Entrepreneurship (ThEx) and is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and state funds.
