In the 2016 financial year, more than EUR 45 million flowed from the investor network of bm‑t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh (bm|t) into its innovative Thuringian portfolio companies. At around EUR 43 million, the majority was provided by private domestic and foreign investors, i.e. business angels, venture capital companies or strategic investors.
The invested private capital is distributed among 17 Thuringian companies, about half of which are in the start-up phase.
In addition, bm|t also invested around EUR 17 million in these companies itself through the funds it manages, so that a total of almost EUR 62 million flowed into innovative Thuringian companies.
This impressive number of acquired private investments not only represents the highest result since bm|t was founded in 2003, but is also proof of how attractive and fast-growing the currently more than 40 innovative companies in the bm|t portfolio are for investors.
The largest single transaction in 2016 was the financing round of InflaRx GmbH, a biopharmaceutical company from Jena.
